Kara DioGuardi leaves American Idol
Songwriter Kara DioGuardi is leaving her job as judge on American Idol and won’t be returning for the upcoming season that starts in January.
"I felt like I won the lottery when I joined ‘American Idol’ two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol. I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol – it has truly been an amazing experience." – Kara DioGuardi
FOX isn’t saying why she left, but personally I think it was because she was tired of waiting to see if they were going to keep her or not.
American Idol returns in January 2011 on FOX.

Angel’s comic book series is moving to Dark Horse
After several years with the comic book publisher IDW, the comic series that’s based off the Angel television show is returning to Dark Horse publishing. Since there will be many crossovers, Joss wanted the comic series together with Buffy The Vampire Slayer at Dark Horse to make the process simpler.
Currently IDW and Dark Horse are working out Angel’s Season Six final 6-comic arc storyline so that Dark Horse can pick it up in the beginning of 2011.
Erica Durance to play Isis this season on Smallville

EW com revealed that Erica Durance will be playing not only Lois Lane this season on Smallville, but also the character “Isis” after Lois is possessed by a relic left behind of Isis’.
“Lois is actually going to be possessed by the spirit of Isis.” Was it good for you, Steve? BTW, quick clarification: Smallville‘s Isis isn’t the DC Comics character Isis. It’s the Egyptian goddess Isis with a nod to the DC Isis. Understand? Good, now explain it to me.
Smallville returns to the CW on September 24, 2010.
Allison Mack to return for 5 episodes during the final season of Smallville
During an interview with the New York Post, Allison Mack revealed that Chloe Sullivan will at least appear in five episodes this season to wrap up her character.
“I’ll be back for five total episodes.
I was very much ready to move on, and not because I was unhappy with the show or that anything bad happened, I was just very much ready to enter a new phase of my life. But I realized as we came towards the end of the season that my character wasn’t getting a completion. I didn’t feel comfortable walking away from the show, and my character, without a completion. So I committed to doing five episodes to giving her the ending I think she deserves. I do think there’s a relationship between my character and the people who’ve watched the show for so many years. I want to honor them, her and myself.
I think that I have a much deeper appreciation for what I have with that character and that show. Just the privilege it’s been to play her. It’s like the Joni Mitchell song, “you don’t know what you have till it’s gone.” Because ["Smallville' is] winding down, I’m able to really evaluate the life she has led, which has been a real honor.”
Smallville’s 10th & final season debuts on the CW September 24, 2010.

Also, Michael Ironside and Peyton List will be returning to Smallville to reprise their roles as General Sam Lane and Lucy Lane according to TV Guide.
Catch all the appearances when Smallville returns to the CW on September 24, 2010.
