A wizard is cast in The Hobbit
The Hobbit is moving forward with casting, and this week we got the news from Lord of the Rings fan site TheOneRing.net that actor Sylvester McCoy is going to play one of two wizards that are going to be in the movie.
Sylvester McCoy confirms he is in contention with another actor for one of two Wizard parts in the upcoming ‘Hobbit’ films. We know Ian McKellen will like to return as Gandalf, and we’ve heard some rumblings of Radagast the Brown having a bigger role, so if you put two and two together — is Sylvester McCoy up for Radagast the Brown?
"I am being cast in The Hobbit," he said. "We’re currently in negotiations. There are two of us under consideration. It’s not the Bilbo role, but could be bigger."
The Hobbit is scheduled for release in December 2012.

Simon Pegg replaces Bill Nighy as the voice of Reepicheep
When Eddie Izzard was replaced by Bill Nighy as the voice of Reepicheep, many fans thought it would be acceptable as Reepicheep would have been older in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. But after some thought, it appears 20th Century Fox has decided to replace Nighy with Simon Pegg.
Pegg, best known for his recent role as “Scotty” in Star Trek, will now be voicing the character, and from the trailer, it sounds like a dead on impersonation of Eddie Izzard.
Good choice 20th Century Fox!
