Engadget broke the news recently that the 3D update for movies that was coming to Playstation 3’s this month (September), has now been pushed back to October.

No official date has been revealed at this time.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios released a new trailer for the upcoming HD Mortal Kombat game that they’ve named “Shadows”.  You’ll see why when you watch it.

Gametrailers released a trailer recently for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions that reveals some of the bad guys that Spider-Man will encounter in his latest video game.  So far I see Sandman, Juggernaut, Vulture, Carnage, Mysterio, Kraven the Hunter, Deadpool, Hobgoblin 2099, Hammerhead and more!

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will be released September 7, 2010.

Disney Interactive has announced a Collector’s Edition release of the video game Tron: Evolution for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360!

The $130 Collector’s Edition will include:

• Tron: Evolution (the video game)
• A Sideshow Collectible’s Light Cycle
• A Display Case with drawer for the game

Tron: Evolution Collector’s Edition will be released on December 7, 2010 to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Capcom revealed that the patch to enable Playstation Move support in Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition will be available September 19, 2010 (the same date Playstation Move officially launches).

The Move controls will be available under the main story mode, and under multiplayer online mode.  You will also be able to mix and match controller configurations, for example, player 1 can use Move while player 2 uses a Dual Shock Controller, etc.

Watch for the Playstation Move patch coming September 19, 2010 at the same time as the Move is released.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have announced that two familiar fighters are returning to the next generation console versions of Mortal Kombat.

DC Universe Online will go on sale in stores November 1, 2010.

Want a Playstation 3?  Need more space than your existing PS3 has?  Sony is pleased to announce this month and next, you’ll have two new options for the Playstation 3 console.

Option one is a 160GB PS3 system that comes with a new, larger hard drive (33% more capacity than current models) and one controller (Netflix integration is advertised as well).  This model will sell for $299.99 (MSRP) and is available NOW.

Option two will be a 320GB PS3 system that will arrive September 19, 2010 and will be sold as a Playstation Move Bundle.  Complete with a larger hard drive and a DualShock controller, this unit will also ship with one Playstation Move controller, a Playstation Eye camera, a copy of the Sports Champions game, and a bonus game demo disc.  This model will sell for $399.99 (MSRP).

Sony is saying that the Playstation 3 and Move are the future of gaming, and now that the Playstation 3 can imitate the Wii, I think it’s true that it can do just about everything.

Sony and Insomniac Games are pleased to announce the next game in the Ratchet & Clank series called Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One!  Coming in the Fall of 2011, this is going to be one title not to miss!

This time around, the game will play differently… it will be the first ever one-to-four player cooperative, online/offline, drop-in/drop-out Ratchet & Clank title. 

When developing the game, the creators wanted to give players the chance to play as Ratchet and Clank at the same time and make the game a cooperative adventure.  After they started on it, they had the idea to make it so that up to 4 players could play, and then they added the characters of Captain Qwark and Dr Nefarious to the mix!

STORYLINE

We find our heroes in the midst of a dilemma of intergalactic proportions when Dr. Nefarious’ latest evil plan goes awry leaving Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Nefarious himself caught in the snare of a powerful and mysterious machine. Begrudgingly, the Galaxy’s biggest do-gooders and its most sinister criminal must work together to discover a means of escape in this action-packed installment of the Ratchet & Clank series.
