Seems that way… Director Gavin Hood and Fox co-chairman and CEO Tom Rothman were fighting over the look and feel of the film. Hood knows the Wolverine character and wants this to be a dark and gritty film. Rothman from what I’ve heard knows nothing about X-Men, (and really hasn’t cared for the X-Men franchise since the first movie) and wants Wolverine to be a lighter and happy film.
Reportedly the director came to the set one day and found one of his dark and dingy sets completely redone in a more bright and lighter tone. The site redesign was ordered by Rothman who reportedly has a reputation for being stubborn and micro-managing.
The film supposedly has already wrapped filming so we’ll see what happens when Wolverine hits theatres on May 1st, 2009.

Batman vs Superman was to be… that was until Superman Returns flopped.
The Wall Street Journal recently wrote:
Warner Bros. also put on hold plans for another movie starring multiple superheroes — known as “Batman vs. Superman” — after the $215 million “Superman Returns,” which had disappointing box-office returns, didn’t please executives. “‘Superman’ didn’t quite work as a film in the way that we wanted it to,” says Mr. Robinov. “It didn’t position the character the way he needed to be positioned.” “Had ‘Superman’ worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009,” he adds. “But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all.”
With “Batman vs. Superman” and “Justice League” stalled, Warner Bros. has quietly adopted Marvel’s model of releasing a single film for each character, and then using those movies and their sequels to build up to a multi-character film. “Along those lines, we have been developing every DC character that we own,” Mr. Robinov says.
Like the recent Batman sequel — which has become the highest-grossing film of the year thus far — Mr. Robinov wants his next pack of superhero movies to be bathed in the same brooding tone as “The Dark Knight.” Creatively, he sees exploring the evil side to characters as the key to unlocking some of Warner Bros.’ DC properties. “We’re going to try to go dark to the extent that the characters allow it,” he says. That goes for the company’s Superman franchise as well.
The studio is set to announce its plans for future DC movies in the next month. For now, though, it is focused on releasing four comic-book films in the next three years, including a third Batman film, a new film reintroducing Superman, and two movies focusing on other DC Comics characters. Movies featuring Green Lantern, Flash, Green Arrow, and Wonder Woman are all in active development.

Executive Producer Jonathan Bunney recently said:
“We made that decision from day one… We did, I think, a good job with the Wii last year, but we’re doing a great job this year. Because this is where the casual audience is, the mass audience is here. It’s a great control system, but you’ve got to learn to use it. We saw the traditional control scheme as an obstacle for many users.”

I don’t care what any one says about
Donald Trump… this guy came to the rescue of Ed McMahon. This poor guy (McMahon) has been slammed left and right with lawsuits and has no steady thing going for him.
Well here comes “The Donald” to the rescue… he bought the mansion that McMahon had on the market and will let McMahon live there. Reports say that neither person knows the other, so for Trump to do that, he was either trying to help the guy out, or really wants the house and land… I would hope he was just trying to help McMahon out.

Game Informer wrote that LucasArts isn’t too happy with Nintendo because they were not told about the new MotionPlus peripheral coming to the Wiimote controller until E3 (when everyone else found out about it). (Read more about MotionPlus here)
They took time to make a game especially for the Wiimote and this MotionPlus device would have allowed for a more precise lightsaber experience. Oh well… time to make Star Wars Lightsaber Duels using the live action movies (which is what we all thought we were getting in the first place instead of the animated Clone Wars characters…)

TT Games’ VP of publishing Jonathan Smith said this:
“It’s the best LEGO game we’ve ever made. We’ve really brought all the characters to life, and the split hero/villain mechanic tells the story in a whole new way. It all adds up to a very special package.”
LEGO Batman is due for release on DS, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and 360 in October.
